What is the Political Courage Test?

Presidential Election 2012 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Ultimately, each woman will either choose to keep her baby or not to keep her baby, according to her own conscience. Some women of religion will choose not to keep their babies, and some women not of religion will choose to keep their babies. Since this matter is not specifically mentioned in the Constitution, it should therefore be a State matter. The current federal law, regarding abortion, is likely as good as it's ever going to get. When choice is made outside the law's parameters, never should taxpayer dollars be used to fund said choice, directly or indirectly.

I do not support raising or increasing the tax brackets to balance the federal budget, not just because it will hurt the national economy and individual economies, but because I favor a National Consumption Tax (Fair Tax), which will replace every other federal tax, force a balanced budget and eliminate payroll deduction of federal taxes and the IRS, as we now know it. We can cut Defense, Medicare and Medicaid spending simply by attacking the waste, fraud, corruption, excesses and fraud. Then and only then, may participants be required to sacrifice 2% or 3% in order to secure [...]
I oppose all federal subsidies, grants, bailouts, tax incentives, price controls, pay-not-to-grow programs and all other artificial manipulations of economy by government. I would support loan guarantees for American companies, which produce in America for American consumption and employ domestic natural and human resources. We must suspend memberships or resign from the U.N., the I.M.F., NATO, the G-20 and all other world organizations, on which we spend hundreds of billions of dollars. All of these units stand against our military, our government, our economy and our law. Science is essential. Art is not. Homeland Security is essential. International aid [...]
All of these federal taxes will be eliminated by a single, fair, National Consumption Tax. Citizens will now exercise control by spending, if they're satisfied with government and the economy, or saving, if they're not. The 13,000+ federal IRS tax code of special favor and exemption must go. It will be history.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
For profit corporations and not for profits have, for tax and liability purposes, assumed the status of an individual person, but they are not thereby citizens. Only individual citizens vote, and only they should be permitted to contribute with limits to political candidates. If there is lobbying to be done, let it be by the citizens directly, not by special interests. This is the way that my campaign functions. Every time that a small number of members of any special interest group are favored, the rest of society loses or is disfavored.
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
I stand for the death penalty, which must be sure and swift, in cases of premeditated murder, in all cases of treason against our Republic, crimes claiming multiple lives, crimes of a particularly hideous nature and those which are tortuous. I am not an attorney, but this is how I feel. The entire process should be ramped to the top of the order and completed in two years or less. The rights of victims must not be trumped by the rights of criminals.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support spending on infrastructure projects for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of unemployment benefits?
Yes Do you support the 2010 temporary extension of tax relief?
I do not support any federal spending, strictly for the purposes of job creation and economic development. This is the responsibility of the private sector. The job of the government is to administer, legislate and adjudicate, according to the Constitution. I do support infrastructure spending, not to create jobs, but because it is essential to a thriving economy. If we unleash the American 'economic dragon' of natural and human resources, we will becomes self-reliant, self-sufficient and self-sustaining, and there'll be no need to extend unemployment benefits or to be concerned about tax relief.
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
I support the elimination of the federal departments of Education, Labor, Housing and Health and Human Services for starters. Federal government must be reduced in size, scope and cost. The process of collecting excessive tax revenue from the States and their citizens must cease. The federal bureaucracy devours 40% of these revenues before arbitrarily redistributing them to the States.
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes Do you support reducing restrictions on offshore energy production?
Considering man's perpetual deforestation of the planet and the contributions to the atmosphere, water and soil by our industry, transportation system and power generating stations, man has to have had an effect. I am not a scientist, but I feel that man's contribution is insufficient in nature's scheme to cause climate change. My main concern is for the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat. I do support a practical regulation of emissions and run-offs because I remember when one could not see the opposite side of the Allegheny River near Pittsburgh, Pa., [...]
Yes Do you support United States' combat operations in Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support a timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan?
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
I supported our original entry into Afghanistan but not into Iraq or currently, Libya. I do not support nation-building or forced regime changes by our policy, and I deplore the imposition of our own corrupt government style upon other nations. I do adamantly state that we cannot disengage in Iraq or Afghanistan until our borders are totally secure. I espouse the seeking, finding and prosecution of any terrorist and his organization, which threatens or actually causes harm to the U.S.A. or her citizens.
No Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns?
I do not support restrictions on gun ownership or federal regulations which cause ammunition to be overly expensive, scarce or even unavailable. "Democracy is two wolves and a lamb, voting on what to have for lunch. Liberty is a well-armed lamb, contesting the vote". ...Benjamin Franklin
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
No Should individuals be required to purchase health insurance, as mandated in the 2010 Affordable Care Act?
Unfortunately, we already endure a huge degrees of socialized medicine. I declare that we should consider the combining of Medicare, Medicaid, V.A. Medical, Workmans Compensation Medical, Prison Medical, Government Official's Medical and others. If we eliminate illegal residents (aliens) from the health care equation and combine, simplify and streamline the above programs, we can likely provide decent medical care for all citizens at very little additional cost if any. Acording to the government itself, there's annual fraud in Medicare along of $60 - 120 Billion. If we eliminate this fraud, corruption, duplication, excess and waste, it can be successful.
Yes Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Do you support allowing illegal immigrants, who were brought to the United States as minors, to pursue citizenship without returning to their country of origin?
Yes Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration law by state and local police?
You know what happens to U.S. Citizens, if they're caught illegally entering North Korea, China, Iran and many others. Why should we permit the unrestricted entry of the world's dregs into our country at no consequence to them? Why should an alien's rights supersede the rights of our citizens? I vehemently oppose sanctuary, amnesty, anchor babies and dual-citizenship. All illegal residents (squatters) should be given the opportunity to surrender, be counted, be totally documented and be give 90 days to return to their countries of origin. They'll be given official I.D. cards, which will enable them to legally re-enter [...]
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
Religion aside, my conscience finds homosexuality abnormal, unnatural and repulsive. I hate no individual for who or what he or she may be. But, whether one accepts the Creation Concept of Evolutionary Theory, family is the same common basis, consisting of one male, one female and their offspring. Traditional family relationships are the reason why we all exist today. My personal belief is that marriage shall be between one bona fide man and a genuine woman, whether consecrated by the church or performed by a Justice of the Peace.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
I stand for a slow, steady, methodical, consistent and cogent transfer of the government responsibility to the private, personal responsibility, regarding Social Security. My Social Security plan protects current recipients, protects but weans those, who currently pay into the plan, and protects children. My plan employs a blend of life insurance policies and private bank accounts, each with beneficiaries. I don't believe that social security begins at 65 or 70 years of age. Common sense must prevail or Social Security will contribute to the financial demise of the U.S.A.
I will immediately and completely seal, secure and control our borders, seaports, airports and coastlines. To facilitate this, I will bring home 250,000 troops from S. Korea, Japan, Okinawa, Italy, England and Germany. Let the annual troop cost of $25 Billion be spent here to defend and secure our Republic. Secondly, I will totally suspend immigration now until the laws, rules and regulations are redefined in the interest of our country, not the foreign countries and aliens. This includes a moratorium on hundreds of thousands of refugees annually at tax payer expense. Until these two policies are implemented [...]
